About the Earth Day Art Competition

The Ministry of Social Development in their efforts has issued “Social Development Projects Bourse “from which the Rotary Club of Adliya selected “The Fine Arts Workshop for the Handicapped” among several of the projects to participate in.
The selection of this project came after considerable deliberation among the club members as well as the ministry’s personnel aiming at providing the support which will be beneficial to the Handicapped in the long run.

The project aims at:

• Promotion of the profession of Painting among the handicapped
• Development of the artistic, technical and innovative skill of the handicapped
• Amalgamation of the specialized technical societies:
• Offering an opportunity to the handicapped for getting a decent job.

The project is expected to be used by all age groups and genders. The estimated cost of the project has been put at BD20,000.
